Challenge may split Wanita: Rafidah
HONGKONG: Datuk Dr Siti Zaharah Sulaiman's challenge for Wanita Umno's top post may split the movement, said incumbent Wanita Umno chief Datuk Seri Rafidah Aziz.
The Paya Besar MP is making a bid to unseat Rafidah, who is the international trade and industry minister, in the party elections in September
Rafidah said the challenge by the former national unity and social development minister will only recreate old problems.
"I do not know what is her motive. But many will agree if I say that in the aftermath of the contest which she (Siti Zaharah) had won, problems cropped out," Rafidah who is leading a Malaysian trade mission here told Bernama.
